The Holiday List

The holiday season is almost here, and with it comes the sweet scent of peppermint, the twinkling of lights, the crisp chill of winter and—drum roll, please—BLACK FRIDAY! That means great deals, extended hours, special entertainment, scores of merry shoppers and more.

But those aren’t the only reasons you have to celebrate this season. When the holidays arrive, hands down the most fashionable (and festive!) place to be is Galleria Dallas. Here’s why:

1. Grab your wings.

3. Catch a glimpse.

At Galleria Dallas we’re proud to boast the nation’s tallest indoor Christmas tree! Our free Illumination Celebration happens every day at noon, 2PM, 4PM, 6PM and 8PM from November 28 through December 24.

5. Bring home a friend.

Galleria Dallas hosts Operation Kindness dog and cat adoptions starting November 28 and continuing through December 24. Visit us during that time and add a furry friend to your family just in time for the holidays.

6. Celebrate like you mean it.

Macy’s Grand Tree Lighting Celebration happens every weekend from November 28 through December 20. The first celebration features 2014 Olympic Bronze Medalist Carolina Kostner at noon, and a special appearance on November 29 by 2014 Olympic Gold Medalists Meryl Davis and Charlie White at 6PM. On December 6, the celebration will feature World Team Members Kim Navarro and Brent Bommentre on the ice at 6PM. On December 20, 2012 USA National Champion and 2012 Four Continents Silver Medalists Caydee Denney and John Coughlin will perform.

7. Kid around.

Slappy’s Holiday Circus features puppets, magic, clowns, contortionists and jugglers in a European-style circus performance for all ages, November 28 and 29 from 1 to 3PM, running through December.

8. Feel more than special.

Children with special needs and their families are invited to a private, smaller photo session with Santa on December 7 from 9 to 11AM. The environment is designed to support the sensory, physical and other developmental needs of these very special kids. Don’t forget to RSVP!

9. Take in the skyline.

Dallas Cityscapes

From December 12 through January 4, DALLAS CITYSCAPE features iconic Dallas buildings and landmarks made completely from toy building blocks! The display costs $5, which benefits Education Open Doors, a program that trains middle school teachers to educate their students on the importance of a college education.

10. Celebrate eight.

The festival of lights takes over Galleria Dallas on December 16 at 5PM. The annual free celebration features entertainment, refreshments and goodies for kids of all ages. Then, at 5PM each night of Chanukah thereafter (through December 24), the giant menorah will be lit in accordance with the holiday!

With all these festivities, you’re guaranteed to have a fun and fabulous holiday at Galleria Dallas this season. Bring along your family and friends, because good times like these only happen once a year!
