Spotlight On: North Italia

Audrey Miranda | Assistant Director of Marketing March 14th, 2024

North Italia, an elevated casual dining restaurant, has opened its doors serving handmade modern Italian fare including pizzas, pastas, salads, and more! Near Banana Republic, and on our newly renovated Outdoor Plaza, this warm and sophisticated restaurant features a spacious dining room, bar and two separate patios – just in time for patio weather! North Italia is best known for seasonally inspired menus, scratch-made classic dishes with a twist, and craft cocktails.

Inside, and outside, the ambiance is top-notch. Using a bold vibrant red with subtle neutral colors, the design creates an Italian feel while feeling fresh. The approachable interior features a mix of modern and rustic elements, with wood detail, and sleek yet comfy seating. An abundance of light pours in during the lunch crowd through the window bar back opposite a Dallas skyline mural designed by their in-house team. The glass-fronted kitchen allows guests to feel connected to the bustling action while they await their meals. Banquette seating and greenery span the walls. In addition to an assortment of mixed seating – two top booths, four-to-six-person high tops and a varied table seating throughout can accommodate different group sizes. For a more relaxed experience, opt for bar seating or patio seating under the café lights.

Executive Chef Austin Brown, and team, are serving brunch, lunch, dinner, and the same hospitality you would find in Italy. Fresh pasta and pizza are handmade daily, both of which can be ordered gluten free. The perfect spot for lunch with a friend while shopping, date night or dinner with the whole family, there is something for everyone on the menu – even a separate kid’s menu. The best ingredients are used to create and service consistently crave-worthy food and house-made cocktails.

Not sure where to start? If you’re in the mood for a classic try the Italian Meatballs , Margherita Pizza or Chicken Parmesan.  Standout dishes include the Burrata di Stagione (my personal favorite), the Braised Short Rib Lumache, Tuscan Kale Salad, Roasted Porchetta or The Pig (their top requested pizza)!

If you’re looking for something sweet, post- (or pre-) entrée, we suggest the Salted Caramel Budino or Tiramisu.

North Italia is known for their creative cocktails like the White Lotus and New Italian Spritz, and they have endless wine pairing options to explore.

At the moment, they are celebrating Pi Day! North Italia debuted a regional pizza just for Texas: The Truffle Hunter, featuring ingredients inspired by Emilia-Romagna, created by the Galleria Dallas North Italia chef! This pizza is only available through April 10, PLUS one lucky diner will win a five-night trip to Italy if they purchase a Pi Day pizza during the promotion. Learn more on their website.
