Best Bites

While Jan Strimple’s runway show featured some spicy seasonal styles, the tastiest treats at the DFW Style Daily Best Dressed party were provided by some of Galleria’s dining destinations.  We knew we’d be getting nibbles all night – but these chefs created an amazing spread!
The Grill on the Alley created some ‘rare’ treats!  I loved the classic preparation of the Steak Tartare.  And the seared Ahi Wonton was elegant and perfectly prepared.

Mi Cocina prepared some real crowd pleasers.  I loved the Ceviche de Camarones served in tiny tortilla cups.  And they shared generous platters of ‘Conrad’s Favorite’ Flautitas de Pollo.  Que delicioso!

The Oceanaire created an amazing array of generous bites, including a mini Chesapeake Crab Cake, which was jam-packed with delectable lump crab.  And everyone wanted to end their evening with their yummy Key Lime bars!

The team from The Second Floor took old school treats and gave them a new twist!  They took perfectly Devilled Eggs and paired them with pork belly and pickled fennel.  And Quesadillas are no longer plain Jane when you add Duck Confit and Charred Tomatilla Salsa.


If these tastes were an indication, I’m going to have a real challenge deciding where to plan my holiday entertaining!  Guess I’ll just need to find more reasons to go out this season!
