All things Halloween

It’s that time of year when your sweet tooth is just a little bit sweeter, and your kids are itching to dress like this year’s most popular characters. Yes, Halloween is almost here, and this year Galleria Dallas is making sure no one goes home without plenty of treats in their buckets and fond memories in their minds.

Who said getting glammed up for Halloween is just for the kiddos? A spooky shopping spree has serious potential! First things first: It’s all about the costume. What really sets the “okay” costumes apart from the outstanding ones is the accessories. Start your shopping at Claire’s to pick up gorgeous faux jewels, and then head to Spencer’s for a unique accent for Dad to rock when he makes his neighborhood rounds. Complete your look at Sephora, where you’ll find some the industry’s best makeup, including fake eyelashes, glittery eyeshadow and standout lip color.

Now that you’re all dressed up, it’s time to find somewhere to go. Are your kids enrolled in Galleria Dallas’ skating school? If so, make plans to attend our Halloween Party from 6:15 to 7:30PM on October 30. This annual event offers games, refreshments and a costume contest. Get your thinking caps on, because this year’s categories include scariest, prettiest, most original and best overall. Good luck!

On October 31 you’ll find free festivities for the entire family. Everyone is invited to enjoy entertainment from Galleria Dallas and Slappy’s Playhouse, featuring clowns Slappy and Monday, from noon to 2PM. Assemble your gang near the children’s Play Place next to Belk on Level 3, where you’ll find a face painter and a balloon artist and your kids can show off their Halloween ensembles in our costume contest and parade!

Last, but not least, remember that calories don’t count on Halloween. Savor goodies from Godiva Chocolatier while the kids play, or indulge in a caramel apple from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. Let the kiddos enjoy a scoop or two from Häagen-Dazs, and before you head home to continue the trick-or-treating, score some fresh-baked cookies from Nestle Toll House Cafe. Need some goods to hand out to the trick-or-treaters? Candy Land is a must-stop shop for tantalizing treats and sugary sweets!

Galleria Dallas has Halloween covered, whether you’re visiting to prep, participate, parade or party. It’s going to be a spooktacular time that you don’t want to miss!

I’m glad to see that Dallas has something scheduled as the unpredictable Texas weather may hinder trick or treating this year. Kudos to the Galleria 🙂
