Crush on these Velvet Dresses

The temperature has FINALLY dropped below 70 and its actually starting to feel like fall (although we’re not going to say it too loud in case we jinx it). Although we’re not breaking out the snow pants and bulky sweaters, we’re seeing more and more winter fabric pop up, such as velvet. Don’t panic, the 1990s crushed velvet is not taking another lap in fashion, although we are totally crushin’ on velvet right now (pun intended). This is redefined velvet that radiates nobility and royalty and lets you feel sophisticated while wearing something so soft. Watch out cashmere, as we’re with Alannah Myles: black velvet if you please…

Overly-Understated Embellished Boots

We’re sure you’ve heard the phrase “the littlest things make the biggest difference” which is definitely true when it comes to shoes. A little fringe here or a little embellishment there is the little cherry on top of a perfect boot. Just ask one of our employees who has over 50 pairs (and that’s not including her heels or flats)! At the end of the day, these boots weren’t made for walking, they were made for making an entrance. Walk on honey!

Be a Party Animal with Leopard/Cheetah Print

We’ve spotted a fashion trend that you can’t escape (ironically because they are the fastest land animal in the world): the cheetah/leopard print. This animal print has a way of recirculating repeatedly throughout fashion history. We are in no way condoning a full on leopard/ cheetah body suit with matching leopard heels and accessories – that’s just too feisty! (Take it from those of us who grew up in the 70s and 80s.) This go around, leopard/cheetah print is being added sparingly to an outfit so it’s not so loud and in your face. It’s always so much fun taking a walk on the wild side.
